Sunset District Overview

The Sunset is divided into the Inner Sunset and the Outer Sunset (closer to the ocean). It's a neighborhood originally built upon sand dunes and settled by early immigrants, many from China and Ireland. The Sunset is known for its cold and foggy days but sees its share of the sun, too. The residential location is ideal for anyone who wants easy access to Golden Gate Park and Ocean Beach.

Because of the Sunset's proximity to the park and beaches, the neighborhood is also a recreation and weekend destination from other parts of San Francisco. The N-Judah Muni line runs down Irving and Judah, so access to and from other parts of the city is easy.
